ENERGY
OPTIONS
Solar Screens specially woven screen mesh that filters out up to 90% of the sun's
heat, yet provides excellent outward visibility; also provides great
privacy.
Low-E Glass Microscopically thin, virtually invisible, metal or metal oxide
layers deposited on a lite of glass and sealed in an insulating unit
to reduce the U-factor by suppressing radiant heat flow.
Argon Gas an inert, non-toxic gas used in insulated glass units to suppress
heat flow; also an effective barrier against noise transmission; 3.3
times heavier than carbon.
Krypton Gas very dense inert gas used in insulating glass to suppress the transmission
of heat flow; also an effective barrier against noise transmission;
6.98 times heavier than carbon.
Spacer material that separates the panes of glass in an insulated unit.
Super Spacer structural foam made from a blend of silicates and moisture-absorbing
desiccant materials manufactured with millions of tiny insulating air
pockets that conduct heat at a rate over 950 times lower than aluminum
and 85 times lower than stainless steel; it is the premier "warm edge" product
on the market today; Visit SuperSpacer
Triple Pane an insulated unit made from three panes of glass; can be made all
clear or with up to two low-E coated lites with argon or krypton filling;
very energy efficient glass option.
